FILM SCREENING | Above and Beyond: The Story of Cpl. William T. Perkins, Jr. USMC (2006)

A documentary screening at the Harold Washington Library Center on Monday, July 27, at 3:30 PM, presented with the National Veterans Art Museum. *Above and Beyond* tells the story of Cpl. William T. Perkins Jr., the only combat photographer in U.S. history to receive the Medal of Honor, who died saving his fellow Marines in Vietnam. The film weaves together his own combat footage, personal letters, and interviews. The screening is followed by a conversation with producer Debora Masterson. Free and open to the public.
