Families Together: Mixed Media
A self-guided open studio program in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago, where kids 6 to 13 make mixed-media artwork inspired by depictions of family togetherness from artists like Romare Bearden, Mary Cassatt, and Suzuki Harunobu. Participants will also fold paper cranes toward a goal of 1,000 origami cranes for display in the library. All materials are provided, and the program takes place at the Chinatown branch on Wednesday, September 23, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.
