Fall Nature Walk at Byrnes

A guided fall walk through Marian R. Byrnes Park, starting at the Jeffery Manor Library before the group heads over together. The walk focuses on the season's changing landscape — native grasses, dried flower heads, and birds that either stick around for winter or have just arrived. Participants help collect native plant seeds, learn why those plants matter for wildlife, and get to put together a small fall bouquet to take home. Suitable for ages 8 and up, the walk takes place Saturday, October 24, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Free, presented by the Chicago Park District.
