Drop-In Sketching: In the Spirit of de Kooning (Aug 6)

On Thursday, August 6, from noon to 2 PM, the Art Institute's North Garden hosts a drop-in drawing session inspired by Willem de Kooning's experimental techniques. The program is open to all skill levels; pastels and Conté crayons are available first-come, first-served, though bringing your own sketchbook is encouraged. Wear clothes you don't mind staining. If the weather turns, the session moves indoors — check with the front desk for the day-of location. Free with museum admission, no registration needed.
