Crafting the Archives: Día de los muertos

A free workshop at Harold Washington Library Center that pairs genealogy research with a hands-on craft. Special Collections staff will show teens and adults 14 and up how to find information about deceased loved ones using the library’s resources, then lead participants in decorating a wooden picture frame for their ofrenda. Bring a photo to place in the frame. The session takes place Wednesday, October 21, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Registration is required, and accessibility accommodations can be requested with 14 business days’ notice.
