Cookbook Club: Cook Real Hawai'i

A monthly cookbook club at the Richard J. Daley-Bridgeport Library, this December focusing on *Cook Real Hawai'i* by Sheldon Simeon—a two-time Top Chef finalist whose book traces the cross-cultural cooking of the islands through native Hawaiian, Japanese, Portuguese, and other influences. Participants pick one recipe from the book to prepare and bring to the Sunday afternoon meeting, where the group gathers to discuss the dishes and share the food. It's a low-key, hands-on way to work through a cookbook with other curious home cooks. The meeting runs from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on December 6.
