Chinese Film Screening: Last Train Home (2009) 电影放映:回家的末班车
A documentary that follows 130 million migrant workers traveling home for Chinese New Year's — the largest human migration on earth — from an intimate, ground-level perspective. Lixin Fan spent years with one couple who have made the annual trek for nearly two decades, capturing a China caught between rural tradition and industrial change. The screening on Friday, September 18, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM is in Mandarin with English subtitles, at a Chinatown library branch. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing are also available.
