Chicagohenge: Sun, Skyscrapers, Songs and Science
An astronomer and a band walk into the Harold Washington Library: Dr. Luke Leisman teams up with musicians from The Parsnip Factory for a program that blends songs, science, and the seasonal phenomenon of Chicagohenge. The talk explains how the sun's rays align with the city's east-west grid at the equinox and includes guidance on where to catch the best view this fall. Takes place Sunday, September 20, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM in the Loop. Free, but registration is required.
