Beginning Birding with Chicago Bird Alliance
Beginning Birding offers a low-key morning walk through the South Shore Nature Sanctuary with volunteers from the Chicago Bird Alliance, who lead the group in spotting and identifying native birds. Binoculars and field guides are provided, so no prior experience or equipment needed. The walk takes place Friday, August 21, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, and is open to all ages and families. Trail surfaces include pavement, boardwalk, and crushed gravel; metered parking is onsite at the South Shore Cultural Center Park.
