Art in the Library: Families Together

The Artist's Studio at the Library, in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago, offers a drop-in family art session at the Garfield Ridge branch on Saturday, October 24, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Kids ages 3 to 13 draw on watercolor paper, then fill in with markers, colored pencils, water, and patterned paper, taking inspiration from artists including Mary Cassatt, Romare Bearden, and Jacob Lawrence. Finished pieces get displayed in the library. Supplies are set up at a designated table on the children's side — no registration required.
