Art in the Library: Families Together

A free drop-in art workshop at the Garfield Ridge library, part of a series presented in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago. On Saturday, October 10, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, families with kids ages 3 to 13 can create mixed-media artwork inspired by Mary Cassatt, Margaret Burroughs, Romare Bearden, Suzuki Harunobu, and Jacob Lawrence — using watercolor paper, markers, paint, patterned paper, and more. The library will display finished pieces. Supplies are set up on the children's side at a designated table; no registration required.
