Art Book Club: Ways of Seeing by John Berger

The Art Book Club at Harold Washington Library Center works through John Berger’s *Ways of Seeing* one chapter at a time, and this month’s session on Thursday, October 22, from 6 to 7 PM tackles Chapter 3, about how women have been represented in Western painting. If you know the book from the BBC series, the group accepts watching the corresponding episode in place of the reading. Copies are available at the 8th floor reference desk. The club is free and open to anyone who wants a structured, conversational way into a foundational text of art criticism.
