AI+CHI Convening

The AI+CHI Convening turns Chicago Public Library into a civic summit on artificial intelligence, with a full Saturday (October 3, 10 AM to 4 PM) of panels, hands-on workshops, and exhibitor showcases at the Harold Washington Library Center. The lineup partners CPL with organizations including Nvidia, AWS, Google, Microsoft, Common Sense Media, and Chicago Public Schools, covering how AI is affecting work, government services, education, and creative fields — plus ethics, transparency, and equitable access. Rather than a trade-show pitch, this is framed as a public-facing event for residents who want to understand what AI is already doing and how to engage with it safely. Free and open to all.
