AI for Visual Disabilities
The Chicago Public Library Assistive Resources and Talking Book Center offers a workshop on Thursday, October 22, from 10 to 11:30 AM, introducing AI tools that can help people with visual disabilities read text, recognize objects, remember things, and compose messages. The session is beginner-friendly and relaxed, designed for those curious about how AI might support daily independence or just wanting to feel more confident discussing it with friends and family. It takes place at the Harold Washington Library Center in the Loop. Sign language interpretation and other accessibility accommodations are available with a 14-business-day request to access@chipublib.org or (312) 747-8184.
