A Quilt is a Poem That We Say Again: Closing Reception

The closing reception for *A Quilt is a Poem That We Say Again* brings together the featured artists in the Harold Washington Library Center’s Grand Lobby on Thursday, January 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The exhibit, on view through January 11 in the Ida B. Wells Corridor, showcases textile works from a queer quilting collective that has grown over four years of workshops. At the reception, you can see the quilts up close, try your hand at fiber art, and pick up a zine compiled from contributions made at the opening. The show itself ranges from improvisational piecing to text-heavy compositions, all made by people finding their own entry point into the medium.
