Youth Poetry Workshop

A weekly poetry workshop for kids ages 7 to 9, led by local poet and medical student Maya Tsingos, a 2026-2027 Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellow. Each Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 PM at the West Town branch, the group reads a poem, learns a few terms, and writes an original piece — no prior experience needed, just a willingness to try. Registration is required by the start of the event; a parent or guardian’s email address is needed due to CPL's privacy policies. Sign language interpretation is available with at least 14 business days' notice.
