Wycinanki: The Art of Polish Paper Cutouts

At Clearing, Polish American artist Grace Bazylewski—a practitioner and teacher of wycinanki for over 35 years—leads a hands-on workshop in the intricate folk art of Polish paper cutouts. Participants learn the techniques of cutting, clipping, punching, and tearing paper into both abstract and recognizable forms, then create their own colorful designs to take home.
