Writing in the Galleries: Chapters of Chicago
Join us for a special edition of Writing in the Galleries inspired by “Chapters of Chicago,” the Chicago Public Library’s reading theme for summer 2026. Connect with fellow creative writers as you write in response to artworks rich with Chicago stories and connections. The evening features a variety of staff-led, drop-in writing activities in galleries across the museum, including Architecture and Design, Photography and Media, Modern Art, and Applied Arts of Europe.
Writing in the Galleries is a program series that invites visitors to write in response to the art they see. All experience levels are welcome! Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite notebook and pencil. Folding stools will be provided.
