World of Genomics

The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry hosts World of Genomics on Sunday, October 11, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, a hands-on science fair where visitors of any age can play genetics-themed games, talk to researchers, and explore stations on DNA, agriculture, robotics, and microbes. Scientists from the University of Illinois' Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology lead the activities, making it a solid option for families who want real science engagement rather than a passive exhibit. The event is included in general admission and also runs the following day, October 12, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
