Walking History: Exploring Chicago Parks at Washington

Walking History is a monthly walking series from Equiticity that treats Chicago parks as living historical documents. The August installment at Washington Park on Sunday morning, August 23, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, is part of a six-walk program designed to mark the U.S. semiquincentennial by examining how park landscapes reflect — and sometimes shaped — the city's and nation's stories. The series is framed as a Community Mobility Ritual, aiming to build social cohesion in neighborhoods that have historically been underserved.
