Understanding Power of Attorney for Property and Healthcare

At the Dunning Branch, the Center for Disability & Elder Law presents a Tuesday morning session on October 13 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, clarifying the legal tools of Power of Attorney for both property and healthcare. The presentation explains how a Power of Attorney designates a trusted individual to make decisions on your behalf when you cannot, and distinguishes it from a Living Will, which covers only the withholding of life-prolonging treatments. The nonprofit, which has served low-income seniors and people with disabilities in Cook County since 1984, leads the talk.
