Tree Walk: South Shore's Stories of Trees
A local TreeKeeper leads this South Shore tree walk on Thursday, August 20, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM, covering how to identify common Chicago species and understand their evolutionary relationships and ecological roles. The walk also explains why a mix of tree species keeps the urban forest more resilient. Openlands, which trains volunteer urban forest stewards, supports the programming. Sign language interpretation is available with at least 14 business days' notice.
