Transilience: Chicago Trans Pride Festival at Hamilton

Transilience is the first Chicago festival designed specifically to celebrate trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people across all three sides of the city, and it's free to attend. On Saturday, August 15, from 11 AM to 3 PM, Hamilton Park in Englewood hosts a lineup that stretches well beyond a typical pride event: dance, drag, music, DJs, circus acts, puppeteering, standup and sketch comedy, live painting, flow arts, fashion exhibitions, and experimental performance art. The programming is all-ages and deliberately cross-disciplinary, making it a rare afternoon where you can catch a burlesque act and a puppet show on the same lawn.
