Children ages 6 to 13 make tortillas from scratch in this Saturday morning workshop at the Obama Presidential Center, running from 11 AM to 1 PM on October 10. Several colors of masa dough are available for kids to shape their own designs, with the option to add cheese before cooking. It's a hands-on introduction to a food that has been a Mesoamerican staple for thousands of years. Registration opens one day before the event; a parent or guardian's email address is required for sign-up.
