Together We Read

Together We Read turns a Wednesday afternoon into a low-key, cozy reading session at Altgeld's community room from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on December 23. Bring pajamas, a blanket, or a pillow and settle in with hot chocolate; families can read to their children, or attendees can be paired with a reading buddy. After an hour of reading, everyone moves on to a craft. The program also welcomes teens who want to earn volunteer hours as reading buddies — email Sarah at smartino@chipublib.org to sign up.
