The Lizard y El Sol: Theater for the Very Young
When El Sol (the sun) mysteriously vanishes from the sky, it’s up to one brave Lizard to embark on a quest to find and bring back the light. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this enchanting retelling of a beloved Mexican folktale featuring interactive storytelling, colorful puppets and Mexican-inspired music and dance!
The play is presented primarily in Spanish but is designed to be enjoyed and understood by all audiences.
For children 0 to 5 and their adult friends and family.
Presented in partnership with The Goodman Theatre.
An epic citywide year-long event— 100 Free Acts of Theater —activates all 50 wards of Chicago.
Designed as a celebration of the artistic fabric of Chicago, The Goodman is partnering with Chicago Public Library and organizations across the city during its Centennial Season to amplify existing programming and collaborate on new efforts.
How to Attend
Register by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 28. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.
Due to space limitations, please include the only total number of children as attendees when you register.
