The Dance You Made at Horner
Darvin Dances turns the usual performer-audience relationship upside down at Horner Park on Thursday evening, July 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Two short works — "The Choreographic Mad Lib" and "Take a Chance" — are built live from whatever the crowd suggests: which dancers take the stage, what movement they perform, even the adjectives and adverbs that shape the choreography. The second piece lets the audience choose between two options for music and costumes as the piece unfolds. No two performances will be the same, and the audience is essentially co-creating the show in real time.
