Sudanese Community Day

Please join us for a special celebration of the ancient culture and rich heritage of the Sudanese community, organized in conjunction with our special exhibition, A Bestiary of Ancient Nubia. The museum will remain open for an additional hour after regular closing time, during which our dedicated docents will welcome visitors and answer their questions about the museum’s permanent collection and the special exhibition, A Bestiary of Ancient Nubia. The program will also feature a performance of [performance details] and the screening of a short documentary highlighting the work of three contemporary artists of Sudanese heritage featured in the exhibition. Following the museum program, we invite you to join us outside for an evening of Sudanese music and dancing. Traditional refreshments, including drinks and sweets, will be served.
