Stop-Motion Animation Camp for Tweens

A two-day stop-motion animation workshop for tweens ages 10 to 12, led by Chicago-based artist and educator Lila Engelhardt. Participants learn the fundamentals of stop-motion across Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM each day at the Little Italy branch, then wrap up with a screening of everyone's finished videos. Engelhardt, who studied animation at DePaul and previously programmed a curated animation hour at the DePaul Art Museum, keeps the sessions hands-on and project-focused. Registration is required—parents or guardians must use their own email, since the library cannot collect personal info from kids under 13.
