STEAM Day

STEAM Day brings a story-first approach to science and technology for kids ages 6 to 10, hosted by FIRST STAR FORCE at McKinley Park. Each Thursday, September 10, session runs from 4:15 to 5:30 PM and begins with a picture book read-aloud, then moves into a hands-on activity tied to the story — building a flying machine from recycled materials, making themed art, or exploring a basic science concept. The format is designed to show young learners how ideas from books connect to real-world play and creativity, without feeling like a classroom lesson.
