Spry Society: Conversation and Games for Older Adults
Spry Society brings a monthly conversation and trivia series for older adults to the Edgewater Branch, led by local septuagenarians Steve Bellinger and Sue Garvey. September’s topic, “Food for Thought: What We Ate as Children,” anchors an hour of reminiscing about the 1950s through the 1970s — old TV clips, era music, and news of the day, with audience participation encouraged. The session takes place Sunday, September 27, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Registration is recommended but not required, and can be done online or at the Edgewater reference desk. The program is a partnership with Edgewater Village Chicago and The Spry Society.
