Skills for Disagreeing Better

A practical workshop for anyone who's ever wanted to make it through a political conversation without torching the relationship. Held in partnership with Edgewater Village Chicago and Braver Angels, this session focuses on understanding why people on the other side hold their beliefs, and on building concrete skills for listening and sharing viewpoints across the divide. The goal isn't agreement—it's accuracy about where you differ and where you share common ground, with your composure intact. The workshop takes place Wednesday, October 7, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the Edgewater library. Registration is recommended but not required, and can be done on the library's website, by phone, or in person.
