Seed Library

The Obama Presidential Center runs a seed library on Thursday, September 24, from 10 AM to 6 PM, where visitors can take home seeds sourced from the Eleanor Roosevelt Fruit and Vegetable Garden on the center's rooftop. Each household may take up to two packets, which include growing instructions. This is a straightforward way to pick up free garden starts, with no registration required. For sign language interpretation or other accessibility needs, requests must be made at least 14 business days in advance by calling (312) 747-8184 or emailing access@chipublib.org.
