Sculpt Like Hunt and Perkins: A Creative Sculpting Workshop

A sculpting workshop at the Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library, spotlighting the work of Black Chicago sculptors Richard Hunt and Marion Perkins. Participants create mixed-media sculptures using clay, wire, cardboard, aluminum foil, and paint, with activities including modular geometric forms and figurative abstractions inspired by Hunt's ability to transform metal into movement. The program, led by artist Joy Joshua and presented as part of the Renaissance Project, runs Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. Registration is required.
