Science Is Fun: Turkey Balloon Races

A Thanksgiving-themed physics lesson disguised as craft time: kids 6 and up (with a caregiver) build turkey balloons out of feathers and crafting supplies, then race them to see the principles of motion in action. It takes place Thursday, November 19, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Edgewater branch of the Chicago Public Library. Registration is required by the start of the program, and since CPL can’t collect personal info from kids under 13 online, a parent or guardian’s email address is needed to sign up. Accessibility requests should be made at least 14 business days ahead by calling (312) 747-8184 or emailing access@chipublib.org.
