Saturday Afternoon Open Mic

An open mic afternoon at the Rogers Park library, held Saturday, September 5, from 12 to 1:30 PM — a special weekend edition after a scheduling conflict moved it from the usual Monday night. Participants sign up for a 5- to 10-minute slot to share original work, read a favorite piece, sing, test out jokes, or tell a story. The branch recently upgraded its sound system, and audience members are welcome to just hang out and listen.
