Rosehill Cemetery ‘Crypt’ 5K Run/Walk
The 13th annual Rosehill Cemetery Crypt 5K sends runners and walkers through Chicago's largest cemetery after dark, with the course lit only by candlelight. The 350-acre Victorian-era grounds, established in 1864, hold the graves of ten Chicago mayors, Oscar Mayer, John G. Shedd, Leo Burnett, and Julius Rosenwald, among others. The race takes place on Saturday, October 17 — no start time is listed. Participants head to Fireside Inn across the street for a post-run celebration.
