Return of the Puking Pumpkin

A mad science event at the Independence library branch that involves carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns and then making them "barf a rainbow" — a hands-on chemistry demonstration dressed up as Halloween fun. The Thursday, October 29 session runs from 4:30 to 5:30 PM and also includes crafts, snacks, and a pumpkin smash. Costumes are welcome but may get messy. For ages 3 and up. Free.
