Renaissance Project Presents LEGO® Club: Meet Dr. Leonidas Berry

A family-friendly LEGO Club at the West Lawn branch teaches kids about Dr. Leonidas Berry, a pioneering physician and founding organizer of the Flying Black Medics. Participants build a model plane like the ones used by the group, connecting with a lesser-known chapter of Chicago’s Black history. The program runs Saturday, October 24, from 1 to 2 PM, and is part of the Renaissance Project at Chicago Public Library. Registration is required by the start of the event; a parent or guardian’s email must be used for children under 13.
