Renaissance Project Presents LEGO® Club: Meet Dr. Leonidas Berry

A LEGO-building workshop at Lincoln Belmont that doubles as a micro-history lesson. On Tuesday, July 28, from 4 to 5 PM, participants assemble a model plane like the ones flown by the Flying Black Medics, the volunteer medical airlift service co-founded by Dr. Leonidas Berry. The program is part of the Renaissance Project, which surfaces lesser-known Black history through Chicago Public Library's archives. Registration is required by the start of the event; a parent or guardian's email is needed for kids under 13.
