REMNANTS 2026 at Winnemac

REMNANTS is a site-specific performance by Wender Collective that uses giant puppets to embody the ancient ecosystems—prairie, wetland, savanna, woodland—that once covered this region. Audience members follow these “spirits of the place” through Winnemac Park, converging on a central performance at dusk on Saturday, August 22, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The piece weaves ecology, history, and futurity into an encounter meant to kindle renewal in the face of ecological grief. Free native plants and educational materials are available at each performance.
