Reel Queer STI & Film Screening (Intersex Solidarity Day Edition): Neptune Frost (2021)

The Little Village Branch's monthly Reel Queer film series marks Intersex Solidarity Day with *Neptune Frost*, a 2021 sci-fi feature co-directed by Anisia Uzeyman. The film follows escaped coltan miners who form an anti-colonialist hacker collective in a Burundian e-waste dump, taking on an authoritarian regime. Before the 6 PM screening (doors at 5:30 PM), Project VIDA offers no-cost STI testing in a private room, plus harm reduction supplies. Tuesday, November 17, is the one to circle if the combination of Afrofuturist cinema and community health access sounds like your evening. Popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome; subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing will be available.
