Reclaimed Timber at River
Reclaimed Timber is an outdoor sound-and-light performance from Chicago ensemble Beyond This Point, created in partnership with Urban Rivers. Six percussionists play on six pieces of wood for an hour at River Park on Thursday, September 3, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, producing hypnotic rhythms that layer with the ambient sounds of the Chicago River and the city. A reactive installation of 5,000 LEDs and 200 paper lanterns accompanies the music, making this an immersive evening for anyone curious about experimental performance in a natural setting. Free and open to the public.
