Reclaimed Timber at River

Reclaimed Timber, an original production from Chicago ensemble Beyond This Point in partnership with Urban Rivers, takes audiences on an immersive journey of sound and light at River Park on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Six percussionists play on six pieces of wood for an entire hour, creating hypnotic rhythms that blend with the sounds of nature and the city, accompanied by a reactive lighting installation made from over 5,000 LEDs and 200 paper lanterns. This free event invites exploration of natural areas near the Chicago River.
