Reading Room Book Club: Devil in the White City

The Reading Room Book Club at the Obama Presidential Center meets Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM to discuss Erik Larson’s *The Devil in the White City*. The book traces the parallel stories of architect Daniel Burnham, who built the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, and Dr. H.H. Holmes, who constructed a torture hotel just west of the fairgrounds. Copies are available at the branch circulation desk. The discussion takes place in person; request accessibility accommodations at least 14 business days in advance.
