Read to a Therapy Dog
On Wednesday, December 9, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM at the Manning branch, kids ages 3 to 13 can sit down one-on-one with Izzy, a certified therapy dog through Canine Therapy Corps, and just read out loud. No pressure, no correction — the idea is that a nonjudgmental canine listener makes reluctant or anxious readers more willing to practice. Advanced registration is required, so call the branch or stop by in person to claim a time slot.
