Read to a Therapy Dog

A low-stakes way for new or hesitant readers to practice aloud: Izzy, a certified therapy dog from Canine Therapy Corps, visits Manning branch on Wednesday, November 18, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Dogs don't judge a fumbled word, so kids ages 3 to 13 can settle in and read without performance pressure. Advanced registration is required — call the branch or stop by to claim a time slot.
