Proud and Loud: Disability Art and Music at Kosciuszko
Proud and Loud is a new multi-arts showcase affirming that expression, not oppression, is the point — and it packs a lot into one evening at Kosciuszko Park. On Monday, July 27, from 5 to 7 PM, the program includes a community mural led by disability activist and artist Genevieve Ramos, plus performances by dancers, musicians, and performance artists, with music by composers with disabilities and West-side youth performed by the Crossing Borders Music String Quartet. ASL interpretation is provided. Free and open to all.
