Poetry Pop-up: The Human Story Begins
The Field Museum's first poet in residence, Eric Elshtain, sets up a typewriter station for a Thursday morning pop-up on August 27, from 10 AM to noon. The idea is to let museum objects and exhibitions spark a poem—no experience required, just curiosity about what a T. rex or a 30-million-year-old flower might inspire. Elshtain hosts these gatherings most Thursdays, and the station moves around the museum, so each visit offers a different prompt. Included with regular admission.
