Pickles Pickin' at Sauganash

The Deep Fried Pickle Project Jug Band brings hand-built music to our Chicago neighbors through fun and play. We begin with an interactive performance showcasing our upcycled homemade instruments. During this performance we’ll highlight our historical musical inspirations and discuss how we turn common household elements, including “trash”, into functional, fun instruments. Next, the Pickles will host a "make-and-take" instrument-building workshop. During this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to build a simple jug band instrument. It all culminates when we teach our builders how to play a parade song, then we march in the Pickle Park Parade.
